Baggage transfer along Hadrian's Wall
Run by Mark Robinson, a former RAF Search and Rescue pilot turned Northumberland baggage transfer operator.
Hadrian's Haul Ltd is owned and run by Mark Robinson, a former Royal Air Force Search and Rescue helicopter pilot. Originally from Yorkshire, he studied psychology before joining the RAF, where he flew the Sea King on rescue missions across Northern England, including along Hadrian's Wall.
On leaving the forces, Mark set up Carrylite in 1997, the first luggage transfer service in Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. Over 25 years it has developed an outstanding reputation for efficiency and reliability, expanding to cover several long-distance paths and cycle routes.
At the request of walking holiday operators, Mark set up Hadrian's Wall Baggage Transfer Ltd to concentrate on the Wall. After buying out Hadrian's Haul at the end of the 2022 season, the combined business became Hadrian's Haul Ltd, now the largest baggage business on Hadrian's Wall. Mark lives just off the Wall in Corbridge with his family.
Great service and reasonable cost. All went to plan and made our trip easier. Thanks to Mark and the team.
Highly recommended from the initial contact to the staff on the ground. Everything worked like clockwork with bags collected, transferred and left ready for us at the next accommodation.
Excellent service. Really reasonable rates and simple to organise. Bags collected and dropped off without any issue.
